Reston, VA – November 7, 2024 – Acuity International, a leading provider of process and technology-based services and solutions to government and commercial clients, partnered with international medical non-profit Valkyrie Rescue to conduct four Trauma Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) courses to support border guards, police, first responders, and military personnel in Ukraine.

The training took place in Kyiv, Ukraine, from September 15 to October 18, with support from the 42nd Territorial Defence Brigade. Seventy-one students from various Ukrainian units completed thetraining.

During the four-week program, the Acuity-Valkryie team trained students on the most up to date TECC approved standards, through a blend of classroom instruction, individual skill stations, and practical exercises. Topics ranged from point of injury treatments to evacuation procedures. Each class was comprised of students with various levels of knowledge in trauma medicine, from basic soldiers to medical instructors.

“With limited medical forces and ongoing battles, the Ukrainians need more front-line medics and first responders,” said Tony Corbi, CEO of Acuity International. “We understand that having the right skills can be the difference between life and death or loss of limb. We will continue to provide support that will reduce mortality and morbidity; returning some to the fight, and others to communities and families where they will no doubt continue to help the fight.”
